ERONGO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
Oosie and Aletta Oosthuizen, owners of Erongo Commercial
Vehicles in Ongwediva, went the e-CAR route in 2006, and they
say that business has been brisk. There are fi ve fully trained people
working at Erongo and everyone is kept on their toes ensuring that
the business runs smoothly.

Oosie says that people are coming to realise that for quick and
superior servicing, e-CAR is the only way to go.“For pricing and
products from Diesel-Electric, belonging to the e-CAR franchise
makes us a very competitive business,” he says.

Three businesses are going e-CAR strong in Namibia, proving that those dunes may be

great for rough-riding, but when it comes to the BIG FIX, e-CAR is the place to go!

WEIMANN’S GARAGE

Pieter and Tanja Praetorius, of Weimann’s Garage in Outjo are
delighted with their operation. The workshop has existed since
1952 and has been in the Weimann family since the fi rst screw
was turned.

Pieter says the shop was converted into an e-CAR business in

  1. “Belonging to the e-CAR franchise really helps, especially
with product pricing and availability from Diesel-Electric and
having state-of-the-art Bosch technology back-up. We wanted to
off er superior, quick service and complete customer satisfaction
and e-CAR has provided us the opportunity to do this.”

He says that since the transition in 2005, traffi c through the shop
has increased. The Weimann’s, though, want to expand even
more. “We need more fl oor space, so we can provide a complete
one-stop shop. We will cover tyres, shocks, air conditioning, ECU
diagnostics, general service, car wash, 3D wheel alignment, off -
road suspension, fuel injection and 24-hour breakdown.”

OOSTHUIZEN

MOTORS
Owner Hannelie
Oosthuizen comes
from a traditional
auto background and
together with Derick
Loteryman, converted
the business into an
e-CAR shop in 2012.

“Oosthuizen Motors, in
Windhoek, is going from
strength to strength,”
Derick says, “but there
are also challenges to
be faced in Namibia that
you don’t fi nd in South
Africa.”

Everyone that works at the shop has received the full training that
is required. Derick says that belonging to the e-CAR franchise
makes them feel special and they are working hard to make
Oosthuizen Motors a great success!
