frenetically on the go, but we did manage to catch a few

In 2017 the organisers of the Shanghai
Automechanika decided to hold the
opening press conference the day
before the show began, held on 28
November at the Intercontinental Hotel
NECC, which forms part of the National
Exhibition Centre. The press conference
allows for journalists to get in-depth
information on the Chinese automotive
aftermarket, and to hear presentations
from selected exhibitors. A little gem
gleaned at this event is that 50% of new
energy vehicles manufactured globally
are made in China.

Dry Double Clutches

For the international journalists the show always
kicks off with the Media Tour, visiting selected
exhibits, with a brief introduction and overview
of each stand, given by a representative of the
