The Palais de Chaillot now houses the Museum
collection of French Monuments as part of the

Moulages, Galerie des Peintures and Galeries

La Maison de Victor Hugo
This museum located in a splendid private
mansion on the Place des Vosges is devoted to
the French writer, statesman and artist Victor Hugo
who once lived there. The museum’s collections
include drawings by Victor Hugo, manuscripts,

statues and paintings as well as photographs

Le Grand Musée du Parfum
The world of perfume unfolds in this museum
devoted to perfume and the art of perfume
making, one of France’s leading industries.
Located in a beautiful private mansion, the
museum takes the visitor on a historical and
sensorial quest. The visit is highly interactive
with videos and devices used to try out the
fragrances and scents found along the way
which include many of the raw materials used in

Musée de l’Armée – Hôtel des Invalides
This historic monument houses a superb
military museum while Napoleon’s impressive
tomb lies under the golden cupola of the Eglise
du Dome. The permanent exhibition draws on a
collection of more than 500,000 works, objects
and documents from the Bronze Age to the 21st

Musée Cernuschi
The beautifully appointed 19th century private
mansion which belonged to the Italian patriot
Henri Cernuschi is home to the city’s museum
devoted to the arts of Asia. The permanent
collections are housed on the first floor while the
ground floor is devoted to temporary exhibitions.

Musée Cognacq-Jay
This museum of the city of Paris is devoted mainly
to art of the 18th century with the exception of a
major work by Rembrandt. Paintings by Canaletto,
Tiepolo, Boucher, Fragonard and sculptures by
Houdon and Lemoyne along with period furniture,
Saxe porcelain and objects worked in silver are
housed in a mansion listed as a historic monument
