Resilient systems are flexible, capable of responding to changes. Resilient people
are also those who are able to “roll with the punches”, able to adapt, to evolve, to
learn, and to channel the inherent potential of unexpected circumstances.
Change is, famously, the only constant, and yet many of the changes we are
seeing in the natural world today can seem frightening and overwhelming. But,
hope remains.
If, as individuals, we can also embrace change on a personal level, if we can
“be the change” that is so needed, each one of us can contribute in a very real
way to the resilience of our living planet.
Together, we have the potential to ensure that the future for Earth is one in
which life thrives, in all of its surprising, beautiful, and unexpected ways.
