One would imagine that with the success
Nisha has achieved, there would be many
more branches of Myrah Spas across
the country, but she is quick to dismiss.
Preferring to go slow and easy, she looks
back,“I have never taken a loan or a private
investor or a partner, I simply put in my own
money and started out with the business.”
Exercising due caution she reveals, “At
the moment there are too many players
in the market and are spoiling it by hiring
therapists at crazy costs and then suddenly
shutting down. If I get the right opportunity,
I will expand but am not one of those who
takes heavy debt to open 15 spas only to shut
them one fi ne day!”Picking her favourites
The wellness afi cionado that she is, Nisha
has a tough time picking her favourite
wellness experiences and is eager to share
her top three relaxation favourites. “I have
experienced some of the most amazing
facials across the world. The one that stands
out is the facial by Sisley in London. Not
only is it absolutely relaxing, but also works
wonders on the skin,” she reveals. Coming to
her favourite spas Nisha admits she simply
cannot get enough of the ultra-luxuriousSchloss Elmau in Germany and the privately
owned Country House Hotel & Spa; Chewton
Glen in England.Walking the talk
As a crusader of wellness, Nisha leads quite the
disciplined life herself. Prod her on her fi tness
schedule and she is quick to reveal that she
enjoys challenging herself. “I run about eight
kms fi ve times a week. My fi tness coach helps
me with functional training twice a week and
my Vinyasa Yoga teacher helps me work on my
postures, refi ning them and holding them for as
long as we can,” she shares.MARIA GORETTI
As she unassumingly walks into the spa, you
cannot help but notice the burst of energy, the
passionate TV host; Maria Goretti brings into
the room. Discovering her love for cooking, quite
by accident when she started to prepare food
for her children, Maria today has her own blog,
cookery show on TV and even her own YouTube
channel. Being the spa devotee that she is, her
favourite day of the week is Friday as that’s
when she indulges in her much loved and much
