The result is a concept car that is exactly what
people are looking for; an experience that is less
about driving and more about the journey itself.

Working so closely with their progressive
target customers, Audi identiied how highly
private space is valued when living in crowded
cities. For many, time is lost while passengers
are suspended in stand-still trafic. The Audi
urbansphere concept car allows them to
stay on the go whilst stuck in limbo, bringing
them the space they need to be productive, to

reconnect, to recharge. Passengers are offered
a retreat in the midst of the city, a sphere where
each passenger can escape to their own world,
crafted from their own vision of perfection.

This is a revolutionary step. Usually, the
passenger is the inal piece of the puzzle. Car
design traditionally starts with the engine, then
the exterior, followed by the interior, and then,
inally, placing the customer into the vision.
But there is nothing traditional about the Audi
urbansphere concept.

The spacious concept car serves as a living
space during the time spent in trafic. The Audi
urbansphere concept combines the luxury of
complete privacy with a comprehensive range
of high-tech features on board, even during the
daily rush hour. Automated driving technology
transforms the interior, in which a steering
wheel, pedals, or displays are notably absent,
into a mobile interactive space that provides a
gateway to a wider digital ecosystem.

Two of the four seats can pivot to face each
other or retreat into their own spaces for
ultimate privacy. Ample space is gifted to each
passenger juxtaposing the tightly packed cities
they inhabit. In Relax or Entertain modes, the
seats can be tilted up to 60 degrees while leg
