recently resurfaced oil track. The fi rst two
were overcome with minimal delay to the
fi rst 42 races, just seven off fi nishing the
afternoon program.
Track staff, and plenty of laps by the ATV
competitors, had almost readied the track for
a return to action after a third shower, but
then the skies opened again.
Continuing efforts to go racing in between
the rain proved futile, with the organisers
ultimately left with no option but to abandon
the program.
In making the call, Bayliss praised the
4500 crowd for their patience. Fans who
arrived early did get to see all the promised
riders and the afternoon race action was well
worth the price of admission.

Even with the fi ve Americans in the All
Stars line-up, it was Australia’s undisputed
2015 dirt track star Luke Richard (Honda)
who outpointed his rivals over the three
rounds that were staged, claiming two wins
and a second.
Michael Kirkness (Yamaha) and Bayliss
(KTM) each won a race and were next in line
overall with the best, or at least the most
consistent, of the Americans being fi rst-time
visitor Jake Johnson who scored two fourths
and a second for Suzuki.
Troy Herfoss (Honda), Marty McNamara
(Yamaha) and Jarred Brook (KTM) were next
best of the Aussies.
There was an ominous sign for the locals
as last year’s Classic winner Jared Mees and
