Chief Editor & Publisher

It is befitting then that
our cover story reflects our
love for a better state of being.
‘The Best of Wellness’ has
it all, or should I say, 12 of
it all. ‘Spatacular’ on page
68 has spectacular spas
that stand out not only
for the quality of services
they offer, but also for that
certain je nais ce quoi that
their luxurious interiors,
beautiful settings and well
thought-out treatments
add to them. ‘Wellness
Personified’ on page 88 has
radiant personalities being
candid about what keeps
them looking and feeling so
good. In ‘Spalutions’ on page
102 we identify common
problem areas and find the
most exquisite spa solutions
to them. Not far behind is
food. In ‘Food Matters’ on
page 114 we ask chefs we
adore to show us how they
do healthy. So you have a
dozen recipes to mouth-
watering yet guilt-free dishes
that I just can’t wait to try.
Quirky and oh-so-exciting
are the ‘Unusual Suspects’
on page 126 – we dare you
to try these uncommon spas
from around the world.
(Don’t forget to write in and
tell us how they were.) Last,
and in no way the least, are
eco-friendly brands in ‘Good

Earth’ on page 134.
Equally exciting – if not
more – are the asiaSpa India
Awards. The much-awaited
event is just ‘round the
corner and we’re expecting
celebrities and wellness icons
galore! But I’m not telling
yet. You’ll be able to catch
all the action on our social
media, and in the Awards
Special in May.
Our journey, like
all others, saw ups and
downs and reached many
a crossroads. And where
we are today would not
have been possible without
our friends, well-wishers
and the beautiful people
who have graced our cover
over the years. It is to these
wonderful people that our
12th Anniversary Issue is
dedicated. Thank you for all
the love and support, and
for the unwavering faith that
you have shown in us. It is
with you by our side that we
hope to make the journey
into the future.

Dear Readers.

W

e’ve turned
12! And my
excitement
knows no bounds. asiaSpa
India’s journey started in an
environment in which spas
and wellness were luxuries
limited to only a lucky few.
At that time, all I could do
was hope and imagine that
this space would burgeon,
and the magazine would
reach out to a variety of
people from all walks of life
who had one common goal
in mind – wellness. Twelve
years down the line, I am
proud to say that what I see
today is not far from what
I envisioned.
