Park, Denwa Backwater Escape is a
beautiful juxtaposition of the natural
and the luxurious. The lodge, in the
relatively untouched countryside, offers
spectacular views of grassland, the

Pachmari Hills and the surrounding

flora and fauna.

Built using local materials, the

property has a contemporary safari-

style look. It has eight deluxe river

view cottages and two tree houses with

gigantic feature windows that let you

soak in the view from the comfort of

your bed. The décor is elegant with

touches of colonial aesthetic and

warm upholstery. If you so please, you

could even sleep on the terrace under the

starry sky.

There’s a wild world of wonders

outside as well that’s worth a visit.

Built on 10 acres of forested land,

the lodge is across the river from the

national park, which you can reach by

boat and then go deeper in jeeps or on

foot. Formed in 1981, the park is home

to a variety of wildlife including tigers,

leopards, sloth bears and over 300 species

of birds. Go on safaris accompanied by a

trained naturalist from the lodge or walk

down the nature trail by yourself. You

could also go cycling and camping.
