your session is over,” a
woman’s voice whispers
in my ear. “Is it?” I
ask, waking hesitantly
from a deep slumber. I am at the
Warren Tricomi Salon & Spa in a plush
Gurgaon neighbourhood, and my
‘Energizing Massage’ has just come to
an end. The combination of soft music
and my therapist Lufina’s magical
hands had had a soporific effect on me.
The massage had released the pent up
tension in my muscles, the soreness in
my back and shoulders had vanished,
and my entire body felt synchronised.
Two hours earlier, I had entered
the salon and spa looking for a way to
relax my weary body and jaded mind
after a tiring week at work. And, I must
say, I was pretty impressed. The salon,
located on the first floor of Le Club,
has earthy yet modern-chic interiorsthat are a perfect blend of whites and
browns. Dr. Ankita Pal, the manager,
and I spoke about my requirements,
skin type and problem areas over cups
of soothing herbal tea. She suggested
that I spend some time in the steam
room to make the most of my massage
session. And that’s when Lufina took
me into her ‘custody’.
Back in the present, it’s time to
pamper my face with the ‘Purifying
Jasmine Facial’. As she moves her
fingers in arcs following the contours
of my face, I feel the moisture seep into
my skin. She focusses on my pressure
points, and after the hour-long session,
my skin feels hydrated and youthful.
For a person whose fingers are tired
of constant typing, I am so looking
forward to the next session – the ‘WT
Special Manicure and Pedicure’. I am
now in the expert hands of Vikram and
Raj, who give me a good 45 minutesession. At the end of it, my feet and
hands don’t just look looked prettier,
but are also relieved of all the fatigue.
After the invigorating sessions,
I decide to let my hair down. After
examining my hair, hairstylist Rehaan
suggests that I opt for a ‘Lissceutic’ by
L’oreal Professionnel. And that gives my
tresses that oh-so-smooth look.
I’ve spent almost half a day at this
haven of beauty and wellness and I’ve
come out feeling relaxed, revived and
