Wellness is all about exuding
positive energy
Wellness is strength of mind, body and
soul. If you are well, you are a person
who is positive and confident and value
life, health and overall wellbeing. It is
not only about physical fitness – mental
fitness is an important aspect too. It’s
about understanding spirituality, being
positive and exuding positive energy.

I work out for 8–10 hours a week
I am very particular about my health.
I follow an elaborate fitness routine
and work out for about eight to 10
hours a week. I run for more than eight
kilometres, four to five times a week.
I also have a fitness coach who helps
me with functional training, twice a
week. Not just this, I practice yoga as
well. So, I am a total fitness freak! This
may sound like a lot, but nothing is
difficult if you are conscious about
your health goals. When people
don’t want to do something, they
make excuses. For me, working out is
extremely important. I wake up early,
and it is an integral part of my
morning ritual. My workout is my
biggest stress buster.

I carry  tness gear on work trips
It’s true that when you travel, it is
difficult to exercise, but there’s
always a way. If I am on holiday,
I don’t follow an exercise routine, but
I do make sure I walk a lot instead of
taking cabs everywhere. Also, I watch
what I eat. On my work trips, however,
I carry my fitness gear and make it a
point to visit the gym before I step out
for work.

I drink a glass of fresh green vegetable
juice everyday
I begin my day with a glass of warm
water with lemon juice before I start my

workout. After my run, I eat a banana
and drink coconut water. Before I leave
for work, I drink a glass of fresh green
vegetable juice. My breakfast is at work

  • it could be could be eggs, poha, upma
or idli, with a cup of coffee and a piece
of chocolate. Lunch is a mix of proteins,
some carbohydrates like rice or rotis and
veggies or salad. In the evening, I eat a

protein bar and keep it light at night –
just a vegetable salad and yogurt.

I don’t deprive myself of anything
I have been following a fitness routine
since I was 18 years old, and now I am
43! I don’t deprive myself of anything; I
just eat in moderation.
