Wellness &  tness are interdependent
Just eating right will not help you sleep
better, and just physical exercise will
not help you get rosy cheeks. Being
beautiful from within enhances the
way you look, but most importantly,
one should focus on health, and work
towards achieving a balanced body,
mind and soul. Wellness and fitness are
both determined by your lifestyle and
are dependent on each other.


Age doesn’t lower your stamina
I cycle for 10–15 minutes a day. I also do
pranayam every morning for 45 minutes


and yoga every alternate day. Yoga helps
in toning, especially the waist, and it is
my secret to looking fit.

Dancing is meditation for me
I can’t live without dancing. I do at
least two to three shows a month,
and for each show, I’m on stage for
a minimum two hours; there are
rigorous rehearsals involved before
shows. Dancing is a mood enhancer
and is like meditation for me. I don’t
think age lowers your stamina – I
have built mine over the years by
practicing dance.

I am off limits after 6pm
I try to balance work and my personal
life as much as possible and always
make sure I have non-working
hours. I am off limits after 6pm on
most days. That is a luxury I allow
myself – unless, of course, there is an
emergency that I cannot avoid.

Green tea is an essential part
of my daily diet
I am a pure vegetarian, and it is the
best way to stay healthy. It is one of
the main reasons why I have a fresh
and healthy look. Vegetarians are, on
an average, fitter and trimmer than
meat eaters. Two cups of green tea are
an essential part of my daily routine,
in addition to the copious amounts of
water I drink. Green tea helps cleanse
the body from within and makes
the skin glow too! Curd is also an
important part of my diet, since it is
good for your skin and hair.

Fasting helps regulate body systems
I fast twice a week, during which
time I eat fresh fruits, dry fruits
and paneer. Fasting helps regulate
your body systems. The vitamins
and minerals from fresh fruits and
vegetables give you a glow that no
makeup can match.

I love how I feel when I am  t
You have to live a different kind of
life to stay fit, and when you follow
a healthy routine for a long time, it
becomes a habit. So, it is not like I
have to do something extra to stay
motivated. I love how I feel when
I am fit, and that keeps me from
straying. I do have cheat days –
birthdays or family celebrations.
When friends come over with cakes,
it is hard to say no. But thankfully, I
have a good metabolism and stick to
small portions.
