The Future of Mobility

This method is a quick and efficient way
of producing high-quality CFRP parts, and
is a technique that has been perfected
through the development of BMW i.
Finally, in areas such as the upper
part of the boot lid and the C-pillars,
recycled CFRP is used, where leftover
CFRP materials are mixed with resin
and shaped into the desired part.
This results in a more sustainable
way of utilising the material.
As a result of BMW’s carbon core
technology, the new 7 Series is not
only able to achieve significant weight
savings (by up to 130kg) over its
predecessor, but it is also able to offer
a far stronger and more rigid passenger
cell for greater safety and comfort.

Passengers now enjoy greater luxury,
as they get to travel in serenity, with
minimal interruptions from external
noise and road imperfections.
From the driver’s perspective, the 7
Series is also far more efficient thanks
to its reduced weight, while at the
same time offering greater torsional
rigidity and perfect 50:50 weight
balance for a much more dynamic drive,
resulting in the 7 Series being the most
entertaining car to drive in its class.
With so much technical innovation
embedded within, from its state-of-
the-art construction process to its
intelligent technological advances,
the 7 Series proves once again to be
the leader of the pack in its class.
