Cube Litening C68 SLT
The C68 SLT is Cube’s new range-topping bike
and part of the German brand’s ‘Zero’ collection of
pure race machines. As such, even the paint has
been reduced to save grams. The monocoque
frame features ‘Super Racing Geometry’ and
is made using Cube’s ‘Advance Twin Mould’
process, in which an internal mould provides
optimal compaction of the carbon layers. The
name comes from the ratio of carbon fibre to
resin; Cube say that 60 per cent is the average
in high-end frames and that 68 per cent is a new
high water mark. This SLT version, built with
Campagnolo Super Record and Mavic Ksyrium
Pro Carbone SL wheels, weighs just 6.21kg. For
the spec, it’s keenly priced, too.

Lazer Wasp Air I-Sensor
Pictured here fitted to Lazer’s Wasp Air
TT helmet, the Inclination Sensor is a
device to remind you to keep your head
in the most aerodynamic position. Lift
or drop your head too far and it will both
vibrate and beep. It’s programmable to
your position, ideally done during a wind
tunnel session but in front of a mirror
with a spouse or partner would suffice
- and its margins are adjustable. The
sensor is sold separately.

Rotor Qarbon Q-Ring
This premium version of the outer Q-Ring features a 3k
carbon fibre sheet bonded to the outer face. The extra
strength that it provides allows for more aggressive
machining of the aluminium, keeping the weight low while
boosting rigidity by a claimed 8 per cent for more precise
shifting. The smooth face is also claimed to be more
aerodynamic. We weighed this 52T 110BCD ring at 133g.
