HELEN DALLEYis a Hong Kong-based
writer who contributes to publications
such as theSouth China Morning Post,
Travel + Leisure,PrestigeandTatler.
Whilst exploring the outer districts of
Hong Kong for this issue’s feature
“Far from the madding crowd”(page 28),
she made an interesting discovery.
“These properties are better connected
than you might think, and offer a more
localised perspective on a city known
mainly for its gleaming skyscrapers and
glossy shopping malls.”
JACK SOUTHANis a London-based
travel journalist who has written for
National Geographic Traveller,Lonely
Planet TravellerandABTAMagazine.He
has spent most of his adult life travelling,
from biking in India to wandering the
streets of Florence. A keen adventure
“experientialist”, he is always looking for
opportunities to explore far-flung
destinations... especially when food is
also involved, as was the case for this
issue’s story“Catalonian to the core”
(page 78).
SAM MURPHYspecialises in writing
about health and fitness. An avid runner,
she has authored three books on the
subject and is also a qualified coach.
Sam never leaves home without packing
a pair of running shoes – she has raced
everywhere from Berlin to the
Himalayas. She has written for
The Guardian,Runner’s World,Women’s
HealthandHealth and Fitness(see“Run
the world”, page 72).
