encourageearlychildhoodliteracy.Marion
becametheschoollibrarianatOurLadyof
LourdesinBethesda,wheresheworked
from 1998 until2003,retiringwhenshe

2000 andgavebirthtotheirbeloveddaugh-
terEmmain 2005.
Alyciawasagracious,strongwarrior,ded-
icatedmother,sister,daughter,friend,and
colleague.Sherelentlesslyadvocatedfor
family,clientsandfriendsthroughthickand
thinwhilebeingdeeplypassionateabout
seeking,findingandspeakingthetruth.She
wasanoutspokenadvocateforearlybreast
cancerdetectionandscreenings.Whenher
militaryhusbandtransferredtoTampain
2009 shewasatrend-setterinremoteand
hybridworktravelingtoherofficeinD.C.
whileattendingmeetingsgloballyin Europe
andAsiawithoutmissingabeat.Alyciawas
tirelessworkingthroughanoftenunpredict-
ableillnesswithgoodhumormaintainingan
“I can’tstop,won’tstop!”attitudecarrying
onwithgustoinspiteofanymedicalset-
backs;shelovedhostinganddecoratingfor
theholidays,supportingandwatchingEm-
ma’spianorecitals,travelingoncruises,vis-
itingluxurioushotelsinbeautifullocations,
livingandenjoyingeachmoment.Alycia
livedfullyuntilherverylastday,workingin
spiteofherillness,andmostrecentlygoing
onaski tripandcruisewithEmmaandJoe.
Acelebrationofherlifeisscheduledfor
May22, 2022 atTheTradeWindsinSt.Pe-
tersburg,Floridaandafuneralwillbeheld
atalaterdatetobedeterminedatArling-
tonCemeteryin Washington,DC.withare-
ceptiontofollowatNixonPeabody.All are
welcometoattendandcelebrateAlycia’s
