There are always new challenges ahead and we need
to embrace each one. I totally did not expect to win,
but, it was a validation of the hard work and the
people such as Chef Lino Sauro who
have mentored and inspired me along the way!

I don’t want people to fear me and start hiding things – that would ruin the
consistency of our food. What I want to encourage here is transparency. If someone
is in trouble, voice it out and help will be given.” He aims to gain ground by meeting
people and keep experimenting in the kitchen as he feels there’s always something
more to achieve. He strongly believes and would tell the next generation of chefs,
“Things always get rough and they won’t go your way, but there’s always
a rainbow after a storm.”
