I


t is amazing what a woman’s body can do dur-
ing and after pregnancy. We sometimes amaze
ourselves. That includes maintaining our shape
during pregnancy for some and/or getting it
back after pregnancy. Every pregnancy is dif-
ferent because everyone is different. How we
snap back as some would say after pregnancy
depends on how we take care of our body during
and after.

I am a proud mother of two wonderful little boys
and both of my pregnancies were completely differ-
ent. My first pregnancy; I exercised during and after
my pregnancy. I researched what types of workouts
would be good while pregnant. I took the informa-
tion that I found and consulted with my doctors to see
if it would be ok for my baby and I. My doctors gave
me all the information I needed to choose what was
okay to do while pregnant. My first pregnancy it
was easy getting back to my normal size. My second
pregnancy not so much...

I worked out for a little bit with my second pregnancy
but it wasn’t long before I was put on bed rest. After
I had my second son I waited till I got the okay from
my doctor to work out again. Listed below are a few
of the things I did during and after my pregnancy:


  1. Eat Healthily (If pregnant do not forget your Folic
    Acid)

  2. Drink lots of Water

  3. Workout ( Cardio, Pilates and/ or Yoga)

ating healthy is important so your body
can get all the nutrients it needs. It is also
important so you can have the energy for
your bundle of joy. Eating healthy and stay-
ing hydrated goes hand in hand. Drinking
water keeps your body hydrated. Which is very
important when you are working out. There are a lot
of pregnancy ( Prenatal & Postnatal ) videos that you
can do from the beginning to the end of your preg-
nancy.

One of my favorite videos is "Lindsay Brin’s Com-
plete Pregnancy Fitness Program.” This one collec-
tion has everything that you need for the beginning
to the end of your pregnancy. If you are a beginner I
recommend you talk to your doctor before doing any
exercise during and after pregnancy. Take it slow
until you are comfortable doing the workout. Most
importantly enjoy you beautiful kid(s), have fun and
be safe!
