It can be seen from Table3.31that: (1) The per capita SCI indicator of 211Us
located in every region increases. (2) The per¥10 million SCI indicator is generally
in the downtrend in most areas, with minor increments in some particular years.
(3) The indicator of TOPESI per¥10 million in most areas is ratherfluctuant.
In order to illustrate more visually the agglomeration effect of NEAM research
output per unit in eastern 211Us, we further divide it into three areas, Jing-Jin-Ji,
Hu-Su-Zhe and other. we plot each indicator by university location in Figs.3.70,
3.71and 3.72.
