the increasable amount of Monographs of DEA-inefficient universities first
decreases slightly and then increases heavily, and the increasable proportion of
CSSCI articles of DEA-inefficient universities also share this pattern. However, the
increasable amount of SSCI articles of DEA-inefficient universities is generally in
the downtrend.

(2) Analysis on the 985Us and non-985Us


It’s observable from Table4.37that, the increasable amount of Monographs or
SSCI articles of DEA-inefficient 985Us is higher than that of non-985Us in 2006–
2010, but the increasable proportion of CSSCI articles of 985Us is lower than that
of non-985Us. Thefive-year averages of increasable proportions of Monographs
and SSCI articles of DEA-inefficient 985Us are 8.91 and 10.39 respectively, and
those of non-985Us are 0.86 and 6.92 respectively. The increasable proportion of
