finallysenttoaward.An

orthopaedic surgeon was

called and the hospital

authorities contacted my

niecetoletherknowthat

I needed surgery. The

next day, my left femur was repaired

withapinandaplate.

ItwasonlylateronthatI

rememberedIhadn’teventhanked

thegentlemanwhohelpedme,and

asked the hospital staff about him.

They said he had disappeared soon

afterhedroppedmeoff.

I never saw him again.

Ibelievethathis

timely action saved my

lifeasIaman83-year-

oldwomanwithhealth

problems. I wish I could

meet him again to thank

him for his care and

concern. I can only ask

for blessings for this

generous man and remember his act

of kindness to a stranger.
