Course Director at the University of Oxford and contributes to the Master’s programme in
Learning and Teaching. He has been involved in a range of research into language teaching,
teacher education policy and the nature of beginning teachers’learning.
Hazel Haggerwas Director of Professional Programmes at the University of Oxford and
co-director of the Developing Expertise of Beginning Teachers project. She has researched and
written extensively about beginning teachers’learning with a particular interest in ways of making
practising teachers’expertise accessible to beginners.
