Author Biographies
Helen Cahillis the Deputy Director of the Youth Research Centre in the Melbourne Graduate
School of Education at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She specialises in arts-based
pedagogies in the development and research of school and community education programs
designed to promote well-being and participation.
Julia Coffeyis a lecturer in sociology in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University
of Newcastle, Australia. Her research is in thefield of health sociology, focussing on youth, the
body, and gender. Her book,Body Work: Youth, Gender and Healthhas been recently published
by Routledge.
