Author Biographies
Leon Benadeis Director of Research in the School of Education of AUT University. He currently
researches‘twenty-first century learning’, the establishment of Innovative Learning Environments
(ILE) and digital pedagogies. Related interests include teachers’work, education policy, ethics,
critical pedagogy and teachers’critical reflective practice.
Bill Hubbardis currently serving as a deputy principal in a large New Zealand state co-ed
secondary school. For the last 5 years, he has overseen leadership, teacher and infrastructure
developments towards 1:1 student-owned digital device use. During 2017, he has been an Aitken
Foundation Fellow at the University of Auckland Centre for Educational Leadership.
Leanne Lambis Master of Education candidate at Auckland University of Technology. Her
research interest is in partnerships. Leanne is a member of Auckland University of Technology’s
educational futures network, Edge Work, and works in partnership with New Zealand schools. She
was the Director of e-Learning at Rosehill College before taking up a contract position in the
School of Education of the Auckland University of Technology.
