Author Biographies
Ghazala Bhattiis a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Education, Bath Spa University. She is a
founding member and convenor of the network for Social Justice and Intercultural Education for
European Conference on Educational Research. Her research interests include language, ethnicity,
gender and social class and how they affect educational experiences.
Gail McEachronis a professor at the College of William and Mary. Her research interests include
international/multilingual education. She directed the English as a Second Language Dual
Endorsement Program for the pastfive years and is currently conducting case study research with
individuals she began interviewing 25 years ago.
