Author Biographies


Mark Priestleyis Professor of Education in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of
Stirling. His research interests relate to the school curriculum, curriculum change, curriculum
development and the professional work of teachers. Recent publications include Teacher Agency:
An Ecological Approach (Bloomsbury Academic), co-authored with Gert Biesta and Sarah
Robinson.


Dr. Valerie Drewis a Senior Lecturer in Professional Education and Leadership in the Faculty of
Social Sciences, University of Stirling, UK. Her research interests are concerned with professional
learning, educational leadership, professional enquiry and curriculum development.
