POSTCARDS

I was lucky to spend a
month working in Moscow
last winter – an amazing
experience. When I
arrived, the first thing I did
was explore the Kremlin
and Red Square. This shot
shows the beautiful Saint
Basil’s Cathedral, a great
monument of Russian
architecture that dates
from the 16th century.
The magnificent structure,
splendid colours and
fascinating shapes and
patterns of the cathedral
are every bit as glorious in
reality as in all the pictures
I’d seen over the years.
It truly is a building that
needs to be seen to be
believed, and this photo
ended up being my
favourite of the whole trip.
