extended their hospitality and treated me like one of their own.
After I got settled and my adrenaline had slowed a bit, I decided to see the
school. I walked into the dining hall that was filled with smiles and laughter,
not to mention a lot of delicious food. There was a huge school store and a
game room with a massive television. So far it didn’t look like it would be too
difficult to live at St. Mike’s. I continued my walk through the academic
buildings where I noticed good-sized classrooms that were well designed and
put forth a positive learning environment.
After wandering through a football field and some senior townhouses, I
made it back to Ryan Hall. As I walked up the stairs to the third floor, I
thought, I already know this is the place for me.
My St. Mike’s experience changed my world and opened up the next chapter
in my life. I enjoyed my visit so much that I went back (with my family) for an
open house for business students. I spoke to the head of the business
department, who was very enthusiastic about the college and the business
courses. He gave me an excellent idea of what to expect there. I was especially
interested in the internship possibilities.
