KARL LAGERFELD STORE
The infamous white haired designer, who has
influenced the fashion world for decades,
opened his first store in Vienna. On
Kohlmarkt, right next to Michaelerplatz and
the Hofburg, the shop’s interior is designed
according to his vision of a fusion between
modern and classic looks, reflecting the decor
at his home and office in Paris. The store
focuses on women’s ready-to-wear,
accessories and footwear collections and

There is a new museum in town! Those are words that you don’t read very often. This one comes with
70 extraordinary and mindboggling exhibition pieces that represent the largest collection of
holograms, stereograms and optical illusions in Austria. This family-friendly museum gives
each visitor the incredible opportunity to not only see but actually be part of an optical
illusion. Who would say no to a relaxed afternoon, letting your eyes trick your
brain and mining perfect double take pictures for your social media
profile? Once you are done defying gravity you can hop
over to the shop and pick up a take-home

“The Collector’s Home” takes viewing
art to a whole new level, stepping
away from the impersonal white
space galleries that have become the
standard in the art world. The gallery
rather takes the buyer into the home
of an art collector, giving art lovers a
chance to imagine what the art would
look like displayed in a home. With
over 39 galleries worldwide and over
3,000 art pieces created by 250
artists, there is plenty of selection.
Each piece is signed and limited to
75–150 copies. Through this new
approach Lumas has settled into a
niche of reasonably priced art far from
the kitsch of souvenir shops and
mass-produced posters.
