Combtooth blennies use
the comb-like teeth lining
their jaws to scrape fine
algae from the substrate.

Blennies are often confused with gobies.
One difference is obvious when you look at
the dorsal fin: gobies have two separate fins,
blennies just one.


Many blennies have small tufted
appendages called cirri on their heads.
