J u n e 2 017The system featured in this issue is one that I’ve had my eye on for quite some time indeed I initially noticed its online build
thread on Ultimatereef several months ago. After a few PMs, I managed to persuade Bolton-based owner Bill Disley (aka
Maxwell) into letting me visit for an exclusive shoot and wow, I’m really glad he could spare an afternoon to show me his
wonderful reef aquarium! This system is packed with some of the most desirable and hard to obtain SPS corals and, as evi-
dent from the lush growth, it is also clearly very successful; the result of both considerable skill and investment in time and
money. Bill was also very gracious in providing me with plenty of background information... so without further ado, I’ll hand
over and let Bill talk you through the development of this stunning ‘slice of ocean’. I can only hope my images do it justice!
