FEEDING & ADDITIVES
Bill says: I feed my fish morning and evening with frozen mix and also just before lights-out with
a coral feed mix that consists of phytoplankton, rotifers and Polyplab Reef Roids. Additives used
are Iodine, plus KZ Coral Snow, Vitalizer and Pohl’s XtraTESTING & PARAMETERS
Bill says: I rely on ICP tests every couple months and try to adjust any resultant recommenda-
tions to the correct levels. I also use Hanna KH and Phosphorus checkers, plus Salifert calcium
and magnesium kits once a week (except the KH which I am currently doing every 2 days to
make sure the new media levels are stable). My parameters are; Salinity 35ppt, KH 7.5, Calcium
460ppm, Magnesium 1350ppm, Phos 0.018ppm, and Nitrate is undetectable.
