He is an award-winning wildlife photographer, fi lmmaker
and conservationist specialising in environment, ecology
and conservation in India. He freelances with many of
the world’s leading magazines, environmental NGOs and
television channels like Nat Geo and BBC.
A conservationist working with WWF Nepal, and based
in Kathmandu, he has previously been associated with
premier wildlife organisations in India. His interests
include human-wildlife confl ict mitigation, and using
communications as a tool for conservation..
Twenty-year-old Malaika is a Goa-based adventure sports
athlete, social entrepreneur and wildlife fi lmmaker. She is the
Project Leader for The Manta Trust in India, and Director of
the 2018 Indo-Pak Climate Peace student conference.
Currently working on conservation media, writing
stories and communicating science with the Wildlife
Conservation Society, India, she aims to support
conservation advocacy through her writing and blogs at
scribblesfromelsewhere.blogspot.com.

for the Sanctuary Wildlife Photography
Awards, which the team shortlisted down to
around 250 over three weeks. The judges
had a tough time choosing this year’s
