knowledge with a strong background in
automotive industry”.
Accepting the new responsibility, Minda

said, “It is an honour and privilege to
be appointed as President of ACMA,
which is the apex body of the Indian
Auto Component Industry. Serving
as the Vice President of ACMA for
the past one-year has given me an
understanding of the opportunities,

issues and challenges being faced
by the auto components industry.
Today, the industry is going through
an interesting yet challenging phase.
While we have progressed well in the
past, we are now entering the next
phase of development, where one is
witnessing several regulatory initiatives
that promote lower levels of vehicular
emissions, higher safety standards
and greater environment protection.
Considering these changes, as an
industry body it is important for us
to acknowledge these changes and
gear towards this transformation. To
stay relevant, we will have to acquire
or develop relevant technologies at a
much faster pace. I am confident that
we will meet these challenges with the
support of the government and our
stake holders.”
