78 PERFORMANCE BMWShow & Shine competition were all of
an incredibly high standard with some
immaculate machinery on display and,
this year, we were invited to assist with
the judging, no easy task with so many
fantastic cars to choose from. Both we
and the Santa Pod judges were unanimous
in our decision when it came to choosing
Best of Show, and the award went to
Ashley Scutt and his immaculate E30,
wearing M3 arches and with an Alpina
lump on triple Webers, though technically
the car belongs to his dad so we can’t let
Ashley take the credit! The remaining Top
Five spaces were taken by Lala Miah and
his bagged E24 635CSi, Anthony Wilson’s
Sakhir Orange F83 M4 Cab, Ross Bradley’sawesome twin-turbo V8 E30 and James
Turner’s apocalyptically loud E92 M3.
Best New Mini went to Trevor Robinson’s
immaculate example, Best Bike was won
by Chris Stewart’s spectacular HP4 Carbon
while the Judges’ Choice trophy went
to Hope Carter and his awesome S54-
swapped E30 Cab.
That’s just scratching the surface of
Santa Pod as there were simply so many
awesome machines on show but all you
need to know is that this is a show you
need to get yourself along to if you like
BMWs. We guarantee you will be blown
away by the sheer scale and variety of cars
on show and we know you won’t come
