IAN WENHAM
E46 320Ci
Unlike many modifi ed BMW owners who fl it from car to car, Ian has
owned his 320Ci since new and over almost 12 years he’s done a lot
to this E46, comprehensively transforming it from the stock machine it
once was, with virtually no stone left unturned in his quest to build his
perfect 3 Series. The suspension has been comprehensively upgraded,
with a set of Bilstein PSS10 coilovers delivering a purposeful drop, and
these are joined by front and rear strut braces, uprated anti-roll bars
and adjustable camber arms, all from Turner Motorsport. The brakes
have been sharpened up with grooved discs, EBC Redstuff ceramic
pads, braided brake lines and brass brake caliper guide bushes,
defi nitely not a mod we see very often. The transmission has been
bolstered with a UUC clutch and fl ywheel upgrade along with a short-
shift kit while on the performance side Ian has had a remap carried
out and had an induction kit and Sprint Booster fi tted, all from MStyle,
and he’s also added a power pulley kit from CA Automotive. Additional
under-bonnet mods include an uprated EMP Stewart Water Pump and
a Samco coolant hose kit. Elsewhere you’ll fi nd various carbon aero
parts, including front splitters, rear spoiler and diffuser, and he’s also
fi tted a set of genuine BBS LMs, and they look fantastic. Finally, on the
audio front, there’s an all-singing, all-dancing double-DIN Kenwood
head unit and it’s joined by an upgraded speaker system fi tted by
Studio Incar.

AARON BRETT
E92 M3
Aaron bought his E92 M3 in 2013 and promptly set about
transforming it into a machine more suited to his love of track
driving, and the end result is a bit of a weapon. All of Aaron’s mods
have been chosen to make the car that much sharper and more
focussed and, with it regularly attending the Nürburgring, high-
speed performance and stability were also very important. The M3
is an incredibly capable car out of the box, but for track work certain
areas need to be upgraded, and the brakes are defi nitely one of
those, especially if you’re a frequent ’Ring visitor as the constant
corners really do take their toll on your brakes, and you don’t want
those to wilt midway through a rapid lap. Aaron’s opted for a set of
massive six-pot Brembos up front, which are more than capable of
delivering the sort of stopping power he demands, especially as the
car has been derestricted and he’s seen 180mph on the German
autobahns. A K&N air fi lter helps the engine to breath more freely
while the popular back box mod means Aaron gets to enjoy an epic
V8 soundtrack wherever he goes. Up front there’s a carbon splitter
matched at the back with a sexy carbon diffuser while a high-rise
rear wing helps to enhance high-speed stability. It’s not all about
go, though, and Aaron has added gloss black mirrors, bonnet vents,
kidney grilles and wheels while inside there’s a Sport steering wheel.
