Enzhuo leaves a farewell
note and moves out of Jin
Xin’s mansion. He looks
frantically for her but to no
avail. He goes to the fried
chicken shop, but she has

Jin Xin finally finds Enzhuo
working at a ski lodge. He
wants her to go home with
him. She declines, adding
that they should be as
strangers to each other. She
can’t bear to kill him.
The Grim Reaper is
stunned to see Enzhuo’s
name on his death card. He
urges Jin Xin to find her before
she dies within the hour.
Jin Xin returns to the ski
lodge to find that Enzhuo has
been knocked unconscious
by falling shelves. He
remembers Samshin’s words
that he has to die for Enzhuo
to live.
Sunny visits a fortune-
teller to ask about the man
in her life. She dismisses her
claims that the man is a grim
reaper.
The fortune-teller asks
Sunny if she has received a
shiny object from someone.
She wants Sunny to throw
the object away, as it could be
carrying the sins and grudges
of its former owner. Sunny
senses that she is talking
about the jade ring.
Enzhuo moves back into
the mansion. She gets a little
emotional as this is the first
time she has ever had a place
to come back to. She also
returns to her job at Sunny’s
fried chicken shop.
Jin Xin takes Enzhuo to
work, where he sees theGrim Reaper with Sunny. The
Grim Reaper calls Sunny
“Jin Shan”, much to the
astonishment of Jin Xin.
When the Grim Reaper
turns to leave, Sunny grabs
his hand to stop him. Upon
contact, the Grim Reaper
sees Sunny’s past life as
a Queen. She is the same
person in Jin Xin’s old scroll

The Grim Reaper tries to
make sense of the recent
revelations. He wonders if
Sunny is the reincarnation of
Jin Xin’s sister.
He meets with Sunny
to borrow her jade ring for
investigative purposes. She
complies, and reminds him
to disclose his reasons for
borrowing the ring when he
returns it.
Jin Xin tells the Grim
Reaper that his sister’s name
was also Jin Shan, but he
wouldn’t be able to identify
her if she was reincarnated.
Back in the Goryeo era,
a child was born at the
same time his father died.
His mother died later of an
illness, and his elder brother
rose to the throne. The child
only had a mentor, eunuch Pu
Zhongyuan, who taught him
and raised him.
Subsequently, the elder
brother was poisoned, as well
as every other person in line
to be king. Thus, the young
child, Wang Li, ascended
the throne. Jin Xin had been
ordered by the elder brother
to protect the young King,
and give him Jin Shan’s hand
in marriage.
Zhongyuan ratted on
some officials gossiping
about Jin Shan’s lowly
background, and Wang
Li executed an official.
Zhongyuan continued to
feed Wang Li with untruths,
leading him to believe Jin Xin
