WHAT:CRÈME SIMON Natural Supplements
The PR spiel: The good people at French skincare
and beauty brand Crème Simon, which was founded
by apothecary Joseph Simon in 1860, believe
that skincare goes beyond the skin, which is why
they’ve launched a series of natural supplements
and teas to complement their creams and lotions.
Free of llers, preservations and other nasties, the
supplements come in three varieties — Feel is a
daily multi-vitamin which contains botanicals such
as ginseng and rhodiola to boost mood, energy,
mental well-being, anti-ageing and endurance;
while Look is the one you need if you want great
skin and hair, as it has French maritime pine bark
to help delay ageing and promote glowing skin and
healthy hair and nails, as well as
other ingredients to protect against
sun damage and premature hair
loss and greying. Rest is for those
who have trouble sleeping — it’s a
natural sleep aid which relaxes the

the Fat Burner has long pepper extract and L-Carnitine
to facilitate the body’s fat-burning process.
Sounds too good to be true? We thought so, but
decided to give the pills a shot. According to the folks
at Fancl, these will help keep you in shape if you don’t
exercise, and if you do work out, you will double the fat-
burning process and lose weight. We took these while
on a holiday and found that while we always put on a

kg or two while overseas, these helped us keep the
weight gain — and our appetite — in check. Without
exercising, the supplements didn’t help us lose weight,
but de nitely helped with maintenance. We’ll be getting
a couple more boxes of these.

We’re pretty sold by the premise
that beauty starts from within,
and you are what you eat, and
that multi-vits can supplement a
good diet and help you look and
feel better. After a couple of weeks of
popping the Look supplements, which promise better
skin and hair, our skin looks clearer and dewier, and
maybe a tad bouncier. Whether it’s our imagination
or not, taking natural botanical supplements to boost
general health and pad up the nutrition we get from
food sounds like a good plan.

Nice add-ons: Crème Simon’s natural supplements
want to help you look and feel better.

Pretty pills: Love the vintage-cool pack-
aging, which definitely look better in your
kitchen than the usual dull-looking vitamin
bottles.

Fruity and flowery
goodness: Other than the
pills, Crème Simon also
has four different types
of caffeine-free tea ($32
to $35) to promote good
health, good skin and
well-being.
