Xie xie
Xie Shaoguang is back! Albeit not as an actor, but
an acting coach. He is a true auntie slayer — many
aunties, myself included, have swooned over his
acting chops over the years. Who can forget his
role as Chinese folk deity Ji-Gong in the 1997
television series The Legend of Ji-Gong? I think
his hiatus from acting has done him good and
given him new insights. I believe he can glean
what he’s learn during his meditative break into a
spectacular comeback! I, for one, would definitely
look forward to his return to showbiz. Until then, I’ll
just have to wait impatiently.

after more than a decade. It triggered memories
of his convincing limping villain role in The Golden
Pillow.
The younger Ch 8 artistes are blessed to be
coached by such a humble, talented and versatile
personality. I hope they managed to absorb his
acting tips and also his attitude towards life. To be
honest, I have not watched a single Ch 8 dramafor almost a decade. However, I'll definitely make
an effort to tune in should Xie Shaoguang make a
comeback to the small screen!
