When it comes down to shooting,
he does not have pre-decided ideas or
themes for each wedding shoot. Brett
is inspired by light and therefore works
spontaneously. He says that it’s always
helpful if you know what you don’t want,
so you can narrow your options down
very quickly. “I think it’s so obvious when
a photographer has over-planned or
over-directed a picture. I want my photos
to have feelings of freedom, passion,
happenstance and mystery.”
