out of life. She is a champion of preventative
medicine and ageing well, which is at the
heart of the Grace philosophy.
It may have been open for nearly five
years, but Grace Belgravia still demands
a 60-hour week; a schedule that Percival
balances with holidays and time with family
and friends. “My husband has been amazing
and fully supportive because he knows that
I need the mental stimulation of working.
Holidays are now factored in, although
admittedly with two or three hours a day of
emails as a daily routine!” Percival admits.
Based in London, Percival is a city girl at
heart. “I love the excitement and stimulation
of living in a city. Variety is the spice of life
and I love the cultural diversity and how
many different experiences one can enjoy
in a city like London. We have some of
the best restaurants in the world, stunning
architecture and design, access to the best
of fashion, art and theatre. That’s what makes
city life so interesting.”
However, Percival’s still values the
well-being benefits of rural living, and is
sometimes just what the doctor ordered.
“I also love escaping to the countryside or
sea for freedom from the constant noise of
phones, emails and people. Lots of fresh air

and total silence is utter bliss. The mental
and emotional freedom that I cannot get
with the constant noise of London is hugely
beneficial and restorative.”
As well as weekly walks around Hyde
Park with her daughters, Percival now
maintains internal equilibrium through
quality shut-eye. “I believe in the importance
of a good night’s sleep and try to fit in seven
hours a night wherever possible. When I
get those precious hours, I do feel on top
of the world.” And in terms of beauty, she
finds facials to be one of the most relaxing
treatments, adding “A really good therapist
will make sure that they also massage your
neck, back, décolletage and feet during
the down-time of a rejuvenating collagen
mask.”
