DK Sharma Elected President Of TAGMA


T

he Tool & Gauge Manufacturers
Association of India (TAGMA India)
has elected D K Sharma as its new
President. He is the Executive Vice
President & Business Head of Godrej Tooling,
a leading Tool Room in the country.
TAGMA India is a non-profit organisation,
actively promoting the tooling industry, since
its inception in 1990. The new Executive
Council is quite upbeat about pursuing
major initiatives such as setting up of TAGMA
Centre of Excellence and Training (TAGMA CET) and TAGMA Common
Engineering Facility Centre (TAGMA CEFC), at Chakan, Pune, with requisite
support from the Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India.
TAGMA is also making significant and successful efforts in bringing the
tool-making fraternity closer to OEMs, by organising International Tooling
Summit, as also the Die & Mould Exhibitions, both of which have witnessed
overwhelming international participation during the previous events.

Hallmark To Be Chairman, CEO Of Bentley Motors


B

entley Motors has appointed
Adrian Hallmark as its new
Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, starting from February
1, 2018. Hallmark’s appointment marks
one of four senior leadership changes at
Bentley Motors with new Board Members
for Engineering; Sales and Marketing;
and People, Digitalisation and IT.
Hallmark joins Bentley from Jaguar
Land Rover, where he held the role of
Global Strategy Director. He brings
more than 18 years of automotive
board level experience from the
US, Europe and Asia with Porsche,
Volkswagen, SAAB and Bentley
Motors. During his time at Bentley,
he held the role of Board Member for
Sales, Marketing and PR and played an
integral role in the introduction of the
sector-defining Continental GT in 2003.
In other key appointments, Werner

Tietz, will become Member of the Board
for Engineering, joining from Porsche;
Chris Craftwill be Board Member for
Sales and Marketing, succeeding
Andreas Offermann; Astrid Fontaine,
previously Vice President of Human
Resources, Culture and Innovation at
Porsche North America, will become
Member of the Board for People,
Digitalisation and IT.

John K Paul Re-elected President Of FADA


A

t the Council Meeting after the
53rd AGM of the Federation
of Automobile Dealers
Associations (FADA), John
K Paul was unanimously re-elected
President of the Federation for 2017-18.
He is the President of Kerala Automobile
Dealers Association. He was the first
automobile dealer from Kerala to have

been elected last year as President of
FADFA since its inception in 1964.
Managing one of the largest groups
engaged in retail automobile trade in
India, John K Paul is the Managing
Director of Popular Vehicles and
Services Ltd, Prabal Motors Private
Limited and Director of various other
group companies. He is also the

Managing Trustee of Kuttukaran
Foundation running the Kuttukaran
Institute for Human Resources
Development.
At the same meeting, Ashish Kale and
Vinkesh Gulati were re-elected Vice
President and Secretary, respectively.
Manish Raj Singhina was elected
Treasurer. Ashish Kale is the Managing
Director of the Nagpur-based Provincial
Automobile, one of the oldest
dealerships in the country. Provincial
Automobile has been in the auto retail
business since 1930 and is the oldest
of the Channel Partners of Mahindra
and Mahindra Ltd for its auto and tractor
divisions since 1954.

Vinkesh Gulati is the Managing Partner
of United Automobiles, one of the Bajaj
two-wheeler dealerships in India and
deals in Mahindra Automotive. He has
been regularly a member of the M&M
Dealer Council.
Manish Raj Singhania is the Managing
Partner of Ralas Motors based in Raipur,
which is one of the largest dealerships,
engaged in sales, service and
spares of the entire range of vehicles
manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra
and Mahindra Trucks and Buses Ltd.

Meera Menon To Lead


Ampere As COO


A

mpere Vehicles Pvt. Ltd
(AMPVL), an electric vehicle
company, has appointed
Meera Menon as its first Chief
Operating Officer as part of its plans to
emerge as a leading player in the EV
industry across India. The company’s
products include electric cycles, electric
scooters, electric three-wheelers and
customized electric vehicles. Another
major venture of the company is the
establishment of an all-woman e-cycle
production unit in Coimbatore.
The company will integrate all
departments through a centralised
cloud-based ERP to improve
productivity, increase efficiencies,
reduce costs and streamline
processes. In the areas of competency
development and career planning,
several HR initiatives also are under way.
Ampere aims at 200 percent revenue
growth in this financial year.
Ms Menon is a chartered accountant
and brings to Ampere an experience
of 30 years in client management,
automating business solutions, domain
consulting and activity-based costing
and management.
