A
rabian Petroleum Ltd. (APL),
in technical collaboration
with XADO India
Lubricants, has launched
new lubricants with `Revitalizant
Technology’ for the automotive
market.Oleksii Sereda from XADO
Chemical Group, Ukraine, unveiled
the lubricants named PROBUZ and
REVERTO in Mumbai recently.
Manan Mehta, Director, APL, told a
gathering of distributors from different
parts of India that in 16 months of
APL’s entry into the automotive
segment, the company has gained
substantial share in many markets.
With the introduction of PROBUZ and
REVERTO lubricants APL will improve
its position among the premium
products.
About the Revitalizant Technology,
Chaitanya Kulkarni, GM, Automotive,
said that “a unique XADO product
patented in the US is used by APL in
blending its PROBUZ and REVERTO
lubricants. This technology is the
science of rebuilding process. In an
engine, areas of excessive stress
(where wear is maximum), lot of
destructive heat is generated. This
excessive heat energy is used by
revitalizant to construct a protective
layer. A new coating is formed on top
of the worn-out surface. This coating
known as “metal-o-ceramic coating”
is harder than metal. In about 1500
km of running revitalizant brings back
the engine to almost its default level.
Arun Kumar Pandey, Vice President,
Technical, said that APL has blended
PROBUZ and REVERTO in high
quality synthetic oil. These lubricants
meet the requirement of most of the
OEMs and API and JASO standards.
They are available in various packs as
per the needs of OEMs and service
providers.

rakes India with JV partner
ZF has announced the
successful production of
Electric Park Brake (EPB)
system and its launch in the Indian
market.
EPB is part of an ongoing
commitment of Brakes India to
help enhance overall brake system
performance, driver safety and
comfort. In addition to providing
park brake functionality, EPB is a
fully integrated part of the brake
system with features such as dynamic
actuation, brake pad wear sensing
and reduced degradation associated
with mechanical systems. EPB also
helps enhance safety in emergency
situations with full four-wheel anti-lock
functionality. The standard park brake
provides emergency braking only on
the rear axle.
Manfred Meyer, Global Vice
President, Braking Engineering, ZF,
said: “We were the first to
market globally the EPB
system in 2001 which was
pioneered in Lancia, Audi,
VW and more recently on
the BMW X4 and BMW
i8, Jeep Renagade, and
many others. We have
produced more than
90 million units and are
the world leader in this
technology. With our
vast experience and
global footprint, we are
ideally positioned to bring
the performance and
safety benefits of EPB
to all vehicles in all the
regions.”
ZF offers a range of EPB solutions
including standard EPB, integrated
EPB with the electronic stability
control system, and EPB for front
axles which is more suitable for
smaller vehicle segments.
Sriram Viji, Deputy Managing Director,
Brakes India, said, “Brakes India,
with its joint venture partnership
with ZF, has been offering a range of
technologies including ABS to the
growing Indian market since several
years. This launch marks yet another
milestone in our commitment to help
enhance safety, performance and
comfort for vehicles in this region.
India will continue to be dominated
by small cars with rear drum brakes.
The offering of a front EPB opens
up a wealth of opportunity regarding
EPB installation due to its architecture
and performance benefits.”
With a strong 50-year long
partnership, Brakes India and ZF
are set to enhance their presence in
the Indian market by introducing the
latest braking technology, helping to
take the safety of vehicles to the next
level in one of the fastest growing
markets in the world.
