HYATT REGENCY TORONTO

GRAND HYATT BERLIN

Sitting smug in
the heart of
Toronto’s downtown
Entertainment
District, Hyatt Regency
Toronto is a pet-
friendly hotel with
394 stylish guest rooms,
including 32 suites.

DAY ONE
Begin the day with a
breakfast buffet at King
Street Social Restaurant,
which serves freshly brewed
Starbucks coffee. Take a few
laps in the seasonal outdoor
rooftop swimming pool with a
view of the downtown
Toronto skyline. Have lunch
at CN Tower’s 350-metre-
high 360 The Restaurant
featuring unforgettable food
combined with a magnificent
revolving view of the city.
Toronto is known for its
neighbourhoods, so book a
tour to check out the most
dynamic areas. Start your
evening off with drinks in
Hyatt’s Mix Bistro Bar
overlooking the hustle and
bustle of King Street. For
dinner, take a culinary tour of
Toronto’s diverse cultural

neighbourhoods with Luma’s
innovative menu.

DAY TWO
Get ready to roar with the lions
on a day trip to the African
Lion Safari. Barely an hour’s
drive west of Toronto, this is
neither wild nor a zoo (at your
own risk!) to see all kinds of
wildlife. The other options
include a cruise aboard the
African Queen Boat or the
Nature Boy scenic railway.
Have lunch at Mombasa
Market Restaurant or try the
signature Elephant Tail fry on
a stick in Nairobi Hut Fry.
Have dinner at Spice Route
Asian Bistro Bar and
experience sheer bliss with a
mixture of eclectic Asian
décor, mesmerising music and
distinctive cuisine.

DAY THREE
In-room dining is a good idea
on the third day. Check with
the concierge whether there’s
a concert or baseball game
happening in the Rogers’
Centre. If not, you could try
the state-of-the-art Ripley’s
Aquarium and Royal Ontario
Museum, Canada’s largest
museum of world culture and
natural history.

Dubai’s swimming pool has in-set
palm trees and lush tropical
gardens around it; the Princess
of Wales Theatre in Toronto
Entertainment District; the new
Jamboree Bar inside Grand
Hyatt Berlin; the skybridge at
Lincoln Square.

DAY ONE
Have breakfast at Vox
Terrace under old linden
trees. Follow it up with a
guided tour of the hotel’s
contemporary art pieces.
Have lunch at Borchardt, a
classic among restaurants
since 1895. Spend a few hours
at Museumsinsel, the world-
famous Museum Island that
has buildings with art and
archaeological collections
from the 19th century. In the
evening, order drinks at Bar
Marqués, a colonial-style
Spanish bar known for
excellent cocktails and tapas.

DAY 2
After breakfast, head out on
the day trip to Peacock
Island, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site, which features a
white fairy-tale palace,
Berlin’s oldest rose garden
and plenty of peacocks
strutting the island. Return
from the island for dinner at
Grill Royal, a steakhouse that
offers steak classics from
Japan to Australia with
countless side dish options.

DAY 3
Order breakfast in-room
and then explore Berlin’s
outdoors. Pick a map and hire
a bicycle from the concierge
to peddle around Berlin’s
parks. For a lazy look at the
city, sail on the Spree or
Landwehrkanal beside
historic and modern buildings
while enjoying the sight of
bridges, unusual shorelines
and the cityscape. Order a two,
three or four-course lunch at
Pauly Saal in the heart of
Mitte’s art district. ▪
