How much you would have to pay per month for someone to collect your
night soil in 1915. The waste was dumped in various sewage stations,
including Lorong Halus Wetland, which today is a park in Punggol. It was
Singapore’s last night soil disposal station and closed in 1987 (yes, really), marking
the end of the rather icky sanitation method.
