CONFIDENCE

Every single client has different needs, but experience shows us that the following
are the treatments that are most commonly booked ahead of weddings:

Smile with

Your smile is the most

important aspect of your face and
it becomes even more significant
on your wedding day when you’ll be
photographed all day from different
angles, and be smiling a lot. So much
attention is given to your make-up
artist, hair stylist and which jewellery
you should wear, but without a smile
you can be proud of, the look just won’t
be complete.
Making an appointment with a
dentist is an important aspect of your
wedding preparations, it shouldn’t
be a last minute decision. This is an
opportunity to fix any issues that may
have been bothering you for a while.
The biggest issue Cosmetic Dentists
face is that brides and grooms don’t
allow enough time for the treatments
they need. Sometimes the problem
is not as easy to fix as initially
anticipated. For example, if a bride
wants veneers for a perfect smile,
they are best placed on straight teeth.
So the bride may need a few months
of wearing a brace before having her
veneer treatment. Or if a groom’s gums
aren’t as healthy as they should be,
this needs to be addressed before any
cosmetic procedures are completed.
Almost anything is possible as long as
you allow enough time, I recommend
coming to see me or my colleagues at
Harley Street Dental Studio around the
same time you finalise the dates and
book your venue.

Whitening
There are two main types of whitening;
home whitening kits and surgery sessions.
In home whitening, bespoke trays are made
for your mouth that you wear every day,
either overnight or for one hour a day for
around two weeks. This is the cheapest way
to whiten your teeth and is very effective if
you are prepared to put the effort in. Or if you
don’t feel you can do that, in-surgery sessions
involve coming into the surgery where your
dentist will spend an hour or so whitening
your teeth while you sit back, relax and watch
a movie. It’s a treatment a couple should both
get done, you don’t want one of you to have
a picture perfect smile and the other to have
stained teeth!

Bonding and contouring
These are simple non-invasive procedures for
shaping your teeth.
Bonding is where you replace a piece of
missing tooth tissue with composite (which
looks just like a tooth). This can be stuck on

without drilling or infections and although it
won’t last forever, (it will probably need to be
replaced every five years), it will look great
straight away and can be used to close gaps
or reshape teeth. Contouring is where you
file away enamel to shape a tooth, or if it’s
too long, reduce the length. The procedure
is like filing your nails, doesn’t hurt and will
immediately make your teeth look better.

Orthodontics
Many of us had braces as children where we
only had to wear retainers for a year, but
now it’s common to retain them for life. Even
if you had braces as a child, teeth move so
your adult teeth may need straightening,
while those who never wore them may start
to see gaps or teeth crowding forming over
time. These days braces don’t have to be train
tracks, treatments like Invisalign are invisible
braces that stick inside the teeth and will
improve your teeth without you even noticing.
Book at appointment at Harley Street Dental
Studio for a full consultation for which of these
treatments will benefit you.
