A premium blended brandy with a quirky history. The main component of this batch of 570 cases was
discovered by sheer luck outside the Boland Winelands town of Wellington – not far from where Valiant
Swart (Afrikaans singer/songwriter - Mystic Boer being one of his most iconic songs). It has a potstill
content of about 74%, as opposed to most South African blends, which have a 30% statutory content. It
was fi rst distilled in 2008 and placed in small oak barrels for three years, until 2011, when it was blended
with standard brandy and then left in tanks for another six years, almost forgotten, until 2017.FOR 12 IS

blend was achieved by careful barrel selection. Our aim was to reach the best possible
