The Pincer Technique
By: Masoud Hayeri Khyavi
Hands are considered effi cient and eff ective
weapons of the human body. Th is weapon,
from the shoulder to the fi nger tips, can
be used for beating the component. Of
course, it is natural that you must strengthen
your fi ngers to strike and use them for
applying pressure on the vital points.

In this article, I am going to draw
your attention to a part of our hands
that has been rather neglected.

Th is technique has three parts:

  1. Defense against a punch and
    grabbing the punching hand

  2. Strike to throat’s vital point

  3. Grab pressure points on neck

For this technique, you should
consider three factors:

tSpeed in action

tAccuracy in action

tMovement of body

Figure 1- Masoud (defender in black) is on the
combination of defend and attack guard against
Soheil (attacker in white). His hands are ready for
defending, and his right foot is ready for attack

Figure 2 – Defender goes out of the path of
punch by coming closer to body of attacker
and strikes to the top of Adam’s apple on
opponent’s throat with the area between
thumb and index fi nger (fi gure 3)
