CFexpress cards now on sale
The first SanDisk Extreme Pro CFexpress cards are now selling
on Amazon in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB versions. These
first-generation cards, which cost between £174.99 and £691.99,
deliver read speeds of up to 1700MB/s and write speeds of
1400MB/s, the company claims. Nikon has promised its Z-series
models will be able to use CFexpress via a firmware update.Canon predicts further market contraction
The global camera market will continue to shrink over the next
two years, predicted Canon CEO Fujio Mitarai in an interview with
the Japanese website, Newswitch. Mitarai points to camera sales
falling from 10 million to 6 million units a year by the end of 2020,
citing the US/China trade war and the threat from smartphones.Fancy a Billingham

Highly commended images from the Wildlife Photographer of the
Year 2019 competition, which is developed and produced by the
Natural History Museum (NHM), London, will be exhibited at the
NHM from 18 October 2019 to 31 May 2020. Images include a
sleeping seal; a zombie beetle; and the circle of life (above),
comprising a shoal of bigeye trevally in the Red Sea. Overall

Canon is promising a firmware
update for the recently
launched PowerShot G7 X Mark
III compact that will improve
video autofocus speed, subject
