If you’re after the widest spread of gears
on the market, look no further than the new
E-13 TRS Race cassette, boasting a 511 per
cent gear range, wider even than SRAM’s
12-speed Eagle. E-13 has built this vast range
intoacassettewithjust11cogstoo,which
opens up its upgrade potential to a wider
market—Shimanofanswantingagreater

set-ups looking to get an Eagle-equivalent
spread without paying for a whole new
drivetrain. The one fly in the ointment
though is that the cassette requires an XD
driver,duetoatinynine-toothsprocket,
so you’ll need to factor that cost in.
